THE INSIDE SCOOP FROM JENNA COOPER | LA
I am one thousand percent in love with this UK-based, female-founded brand and their impeccable and artful expression of sustainable style.
Every year, we are blown away by our incredible cast of clients and the remarkable homes we find ourselves so lucky to represent. 2023 was no exception, and we are so thankful to our clients who trust us to help make these gems sparkle.
I have been trying to get Alison to lead a floral event in our shop for a long time and I’m thrilled to report that the stars have finally aligned.
Sarah Shetter is one of the loveliest people I know. Besides being a universally loved human, she is a talented interior designer who’s projects reflect the individual personality of the people who hire her. Lucky for me, her talent has graced many of the homes we have sold.
Sarah and I met through a mutual friend and had an immediate connection over a love of all things design. Sarah has built a truly remarkable brand at Darling and has once again delivered the Darling ethos through her essential new clothing line.
In a town full of celebrities, to me, there is one that ALWAYS stops me in my tracks. Her name is Joan and she has been making delicious food and serving it at her welcoming shop for the past 25 years!
My friend + best-selling author Susan Orleans recently made the move from Los Angeles to Montecito, so I enlisted her to share her guide to Montecito, Santa Barbara, and beyond. Read her guide to find the best shops, places to eat, and under-the-radar spots.
With the drought conditions in Los Angeles becoming increasingly dire, I wanted to circulate the new watering restrictions for the county and share some tips for holistic, eco-conscious gardening from landscape designer Jessica Viola, founder and owner of Viola Gardens Design.
My good friend (and Point Dume neighbor) Laura Wasser is a fellow Malibu enthusiast, so I enlisted her to share her guide to these 27 miles of scenic beauty. Read her guide to find the best shops, places to eat, and under-the-radar spots.
Dreaming of rosy-hued sunsets over a white sand beach? Then look no further than the most affordable seaside housing in Malibu… the Point Dume Club, a 24-hour gated mobile home park filled with charming beach bungalows, and offering beach access, a heated swimming pool, tennis court, saunas, and a clubhouse.
We’re halfway through the year and the housing market is finally starting to calm down off after three years of nonstop madness! The past six months have brought the opportunity to sell some of my favorite houses of all time - from Hancock Park to Silverlake to Brentwood, here are some of the most beautiful and special properties we’ve sold in 2022 so far.
Her house is coming on the market soon, so we spoke with Simone to get the inside scoop about her experience creating, and living in, the special space.
We put together this list of our favorite LGBTQ+ owned Los Angeles businesses to celebrate Pride Month! They are some of our favorite places to visit any day of the year, but we wanted to take a moment to highlight these local, small businesses that are especially deserving of your support this month.
This past April, we hosted an art show to benefit Ukrainian refugee relief at our shop. ART FOR PEACE is a collection of students, parents, and artists who are using their passion for art and peace to raise funds for Ukrainian refugees. We have partnered with the Ukrainian Culture Center of Los Angeles who allocated 100% of all funds raised to two Ukraine-based humanitarian groups: HIAS and Hope2Ukraine.
It’s hard not to be captivated by Brigette Romanek’s creativity and inspired after connecting with her - if I could bottle up her magnetism and spray it all over a room, I would!
I first met Ruthie when I sold her spectacular house in Hancock Park. You can see Ruthie’s style on full display with de Gournay hand painted wallpaper, stunning herringbone brick and oak flooring, cathedral ceilings that open to sun-drenched living areas and french doors galore. See photos and read all about Ruthie’s latest project on my site.
I’ve spent more hours at DryBar than I could possibly count. So when Alli Webb, founder of DryBar, announced she had co-founded a new jewelry line with my longtime friend Meredith Quill, I knew it would be good (spoiler alert: it is).
While this year brought many unexpected challenges in the real estate industry (anyone looking for a house knows this too well!), this year also brought the opportunity to sell some of my favorite houses of all time. From Hancock Park to Silverlake to Brentwood, here are some of the most beautiful and special properties we sold in 2021. Happy New Year!
When I fall in love, I fall hard. This applies to products as well as people, and it perfectly explains why I am completely obsessed with the brand D.S. & DURGA.I love that they are a NYC based, husband and wife collaboration, that Kavi comes from an architecture background and that they both had almost zero experience in the fragrance industry before they launched.
Good landscape design is essential to the soul of a house and to the people that live there. Molly Sedlacek, founder of ORCA, understands this…
